Questions and Answers Existing Speaker Integration Issue Does the VA prefer the new mass notification system with a stand alone speaker/amplifier system? Response: While a stand-alone system was initially considered for maximum autonomy, the VA has determined that utilizing the existing fire alarm (FA) speaker infrastructure is the most fiscally viable solution. The system will be designed to leverage the existing amplification and distribution network of the current fire alarm system.  Has the VA assessed the viability of adding this functionality onto the existing fire alarm system network?
