Contract Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District, has a project that involves a hydraulic system upgrade which consists of demolition and removal of the existing hydraulic system and its related components, and installation of a new hydraulic system with supporting controls and buildings at Monongahela Locks and Dam Two at Braddock, Pennsylvania. Primary hydraulic system components to be demolished and removed are motors, pumps, reservoir, filters, filter housings, piping & pipe hangers, hydraulic fluid, valves, and manifolds. Any hydraulic piping that is embedded in concrete shall be drained, cut flush with the concrete surface, capped or plugged, and abandoned in place.
