THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. The Architect of the Capitol (AOC) is issuing this pre-solicitation notice to advise industry of the upcoming procurement of professional conservation services for the conservation and Stabilization of the Plaster and Decorative Paint Statement of Work for President's Room (S-216) Ceiling Restoration, in the United States Capitol (USC). The President’s Room, constructed as part of the U.S. Capitol Senate Extension, began in 1851 and completed in 1860. The room serves as a location for Presidents to sign legislation into law and serves as an interview and press conference room. The decorative painting and frescos on the walls and ceiling were designed and painted by Constantino Brumidi in 1859 and completed in early...
