Contract Description
The US Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, intends to procure this requirement on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR (RFO) 12.102(a), Purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold and Only One reasonable available. The US Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, intends to enter a fixed-price contract with Timken Gears & Services Inc. of Mokena, IL for eight Philadephia Gear, 1800DHV, industrial-output worm gear speed reducers to have a manufacture approved service to ensure seals are tight and to remove, repare, and replace expiring preventative with a new blend of manufacturer's long term proprietary preventative that shall take place in a controlled envirnoment.
