Contract Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, intends to procure dry docking and repair services for the Motor Vessel (MV) Rock Island on a sole source basis in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). The Government intends to award a firm-fixed-price contract to Dubuque Barge and Fleeting Service Co. (dba Newt Marine Service). The NAICS code for this procurement is 336611, Ship Building and Repairing, with a size standard of 1,300 employees. The requirement consists of dry docking, inspection, and removal and replacement of the vessel’s propeller, including removal and reinstallation of the steering rudder to facilitate access.
