Contract Description
This Notice of Intent is provided to advise that the Government intends to solicit and negotiate a Sole Source, Fixed-Purchase Order with only one source, Cepheid. This procurement is for annual service coverage (Premier Care and Essential Care plans) for two GeneXpert diagnostic analyzers. Coverage includes Preventative Maintenance, repairs, parts, labor, module swaps, uptime guarantee, software updates, and loaner equipment per Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) terms. The period of performance will be for a base year and four one-year options. This action is for service for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of Revolutionary FAR Overhaul 12.102 (b) and 41 USC §1901, only one will meet the Government s needs.
