Contract Description
1.0 Background The Bonneville Lock and Dam is a federally operated hydroelectric facility located on the Columbia River, constructed in the 1930s. The facility plays a critical role in providing renewable energy, supporting regional navigation, and contributing to flood risk management throughout the Pacific Northwest. This requirement supports the replacement of ten (10) existing Main Unit oil circuit breakers at Powerhouse 1, which are over 80 years old. The existing switchgear is obsolete, no longer maintainable, and presents a significant risk of operational failure. Eaton Corporation serves as the Designer of Record (DOR) for this requirement under prior Contract No. W9127N-15-C-0002.
