Contract Description
In accordance with FAR Subpart 13.5 Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items, NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk, Mechanicsburg Office intends to award a Sole Source Firm Fixed Price contract to Mandex, Inc. for the procurement of maintenance services for the integrated electronic security system (IESS) \ physical access systems (PACS) for the IM\IT Department at Naval Submarine Medical Research Laboratory (NSMRL) in Groton, Connecticut. The justification for this action being sole source is that Mandex, Inc. installed the security system equipment throughout the laboratory at NSMRL and is the only qualified vendor to service the equipment due to the applicable patent, copyright, and proprietary data limit requirements for the services and/or products.
