Contract Description
The Regional Maintenance Center at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS & IMF) is conducting market research to determine industry capability and interest in performing restoration of Submersible Connectors NCC. SCOPE: Trident Refit Facility Bangor (TRFB) performs maintenance, repairs, modernization modifications, and restoration of SSBN 726 Class Submarines. To fulfill mission requirements, organic fabrication of electrical cable assemblies that are exposed to submergence sea pressure is required. To meet submersible cable assembly manufacturing requirements of Reference 2.1, the associated submersible cable connectors that are molded into submersible cable assemblies must be coated with a Non-Conductive Coating (NCC) applied via Plasma Spray (Thermal Spray...
