Contract Description

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award a sole source Firm-Fixed-Price contract to the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) for support of the Pregnancy Mortality Surveillance System (PMSS) – California. The purpose of this requirement is to obtain fully identifiable and linkable vital records data, including death certificates for women who died during pregnancy or within one year of the end of pregnancy, and corresponding birth or fetal death certificates. These records are required to support accurate identification and epidemiologic analysis of pregnancy-associated mortality cases in California and to support CDC’s national Pregnancy Mortality Surveillance System.
